Prime Time Player Rules

Do you think you are a well rounded fantasy sports player? Do you think you have what it takes to be a PRIME TIME PLAYER?? Now you have a chance to prove it.

There will be 7 different pools of various sports. Those pools will be determined who will be our Prime Time Player. The PTP competition begins every season in January with the NFL Playoffs Pool and ends in December with the College Bowls pool. All eligible pools are listed in the next section. Here's how you win:

-Score points based on where you finish in each league/pool. See Scoring Section below for more information

-Score the most points and become our Prime Time Player at the end of the year

-No extra cost to play. Just pay the regular entry fee for each league/pool

-You do not have to play in all the pools but it is your best chance at winning

NFL Playoff Pool
March Madness Pool

March Madness Sweet 16 Pool
College Football Salary Cap
NFL Survivor Pool
NFL Survivor Mid Season Pool
College Bowls Pools

Earn one point for each entry you finish higher than in the standings for each pool/league

Example #1: There are 50 entries in a pool. You finish 1st in the pool.

Entries: 50
Finish: 1st
Points: 50 points

Example #2: There are 50 entries in a pool. You finish 35th in the pool.

Entries: 50
Finish: 35th
Points: 16 points

SPECIAL SCORING (Survivor Pools):

Entries that are eliminated in the same week will use the Strength of Victory (SoV) tiebreaker to break ties. If after SoV is compared and there is still a tie, those entries will receive the points for the tied position. SoV is explained further below:

Strength of Victory (SoV): A running total of the margin of victory for each game you pick each week. A correct pick adds to this total, an incorrect pick subtracts from this total

Example #1: If you choose Baltimore and they win their game 30-14, your SoV for that week would be +16.
(30 - 14 = +16 SoV)

Example #2: If you chose New Orleans and they lose their game 28-20, your SoV for that game would be -8.
(20 - 28 = -8 SoV)

$0. That right! There are no extra costs to play. Just pay the regular entry fee for each pool as normal. This is a bonus game offered to those that think they are the most well rounded fantasy sports player.

In addition to any regular pool winnings you may receive, Prime Time Player will be awarded an additional $100 for your efforts and place your name in lights (well maybe not lights) at the top of the Wall of Champions on our homepage for one full year.....or until you are dethroned.

On the Prime Fantasy Sports homepage, click on the Prime Time Player link in the red menu at the very top of the page. The Top 5 standings will be posted in the scoreboard section of the homepage.

You may have multiple entries, however each entry will be scored separately. If there is a discrepancy about which entry will be counted, we will go by in what order team names were listed when you signed up for the pool.

For the 2020 season, if you pay for all 7 pools/leagues at once prior to the start of the NFL Playoffs pool, you will receive a bundle discount.

By check/money order: $85 (a $15 savings from paying for each one separately).

By paying online: $92 (a $15 savings from paying for each one separately)

These amounts covers all entry fees for all the pools that make up the Prime Time Player competition, so when each pool starts, you would simply signup for the pool and you are good to go.

How To Pay For The Bundle: You can pay for the bundle in 2 ways:

1.) If you wish to pay for the discount by check/money order, send it in before the NFL Playoffs Pool begins in January to the following address:

Prime Fantasy Sports
PO Box 2676
Waterville, ME 04903

2.) If you wish to pay online, contact the league office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

You must pay for all pools at once to receive the discount, however you are not required to pay for them all at once. You can pay when each league/pool starts if that fits your budget better, but you do not get the discount if you pay as you go.

If you still have questions, we would be happy to answer them. Simply send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
