Do you think you are a well rounded fantasy sports player? Do you think you have what it takes to be a PRIME TIME PLAYER?? Now you have a chance to prove it.
There will be 8 different pools of various sports. Those pools will be determined who will be our Prime Time Player for the 2018 season. They are listed in the next section. Here's how you win:
-Score points based on where you finish in each league/pool. See Scoring Section below for more information
-Score the most points and become our Prime Time Player at the end of the year
-No extra cost to play. Just pay the regular entry fee for each league/pool
-You do not have to play in all the pools but it is your best chance at winning
The NFL Playoffs League starts things off in January and ends with the College Bowls League in December. Here is the complete list of leagues/pools used to determine the Prime Time Player of the Year:
NFL Playoff Pool
March Madness Pool
March Madness Sweet 16 Pool
College Football Salary Cap
NFL Survivor Pool
NFL Survivor Mid Season Pool
College Bowls Pools
Sorry, no Keeper leagues are involved in the PTP at this time.
Earn one point for each entry you finish higher than in the standings for each pool/league
Example #1: There are 50 entries in a pool. You finish 1st in the pool.
Points: 50 points
Example #2: There are 50 entries in a pool. You finish 35th in the pool.
Points: 16 points
NFL Survivor Leagues: Since you get 2 strikes in this pool, points will be awarded based on when you received your 2nd strike. If 2 or more entries receive their 2nd strike in the same week, those ties will be broken based on which week your entry received its 1st strike. EX. 2 entries received their 2nd strike in Week 14. Entry A got their first strike in Week 4, Entry B in Week 8. Entry B would win the tiebreaker.
Fantasy Nascar: Playoff teams will be awarded PTP points first based on entries that make the playoffs. Segment 4 standings will round out the remaining points. EX. If there are 12 playoff teams, they will be scored 1 thru 12. The winner of Segment 4 will place 13th. 2nd place in Segment 4 will place 14th and so on.
$0. There is no extra cost to play. Just pay the regular entry fee for each league/pool as normal. This is a bonus game offered to those that think they are the most well rounded fantasy sports player.
In addition to any regular pool winnings you may receive, Prime Time Player will be awarded an additional $100 for your efforts and place your name in lights (well maybe not lights) at the top of the Wall of Champions on our homepage for one full year.....or until you are dethroned.
On the Prime Fantasy Sports homepage, click on the Prime Time Player link in the red menu at the very top of the page. The Top 5 standings will be posted in the scoreboard section of the homepage.
You may have multiple entries, however each entry will be scored separately. If there is a discrepancy about which entry will be counted, we will go by in what order team names were listed when you signed up for the league/pool.
For the 2018 season, if you pay for all 8 pools/leagues at once prior to the start of the NFL Playoffs pool, you will receive a bundle discount.
By check/money order: $145 (a $16 savings from paying for each one separately).
By paying online: $155 (a $15 savings from paying for each one separately)
These amounts covers all entry fees for all the pools/leagues that make up the Prime Time Player competition, so when each pool starts, you would simply signup for the pool/league and you are good to go.
How To Pay For The Bundle: You can pay for the bundle in 2 ways:
1.) If you wish to pay for the discount by check/money order, send it before the NFL Playoffs Pool begins in January to the following address:
Prime Fantasy Sports
PO Box 2676
Waterville, ME 04903
You must pay for all leagues/pools at once to receive the discount, however you are not required to pay for them all at once. You can pay when each league/pool starts if that fits your budget better.
